KT Miniatures would like to thank Linda for allowing us to peek at her truly amazing & quite unique creations.
The text is in Linda's own words.
I'm originally from Whitley Bay, Newcastle Upon Tyne...emigrated to Sydney Australia 27 years ago and still am homesick. Having been a dollhouse addict for 3 years..its taken over my life! I have a few houses and have sold a few but I love anything that reminds me of home.

WW II Bomb Shelter & British Resistance Hideout Underneath

The WWII bomb shelter......this was a Greenleaf Loganberry kit brought out for their 2009 Spring Fling Contest of which I won third place!
When it was released everyone 'saw' barns, houses and such like...I saw a bomb shelter with a British resistance hideout underneath!

I had as much fun researching as I did building...I made most of the furniture but my favourite was the gasmask made from a screw cap some cardboard and instructions from a Jane Harrop book..**Thirties and Forties miniatures in 1/12th scale...fabulous book! (**CLICK HERE FOR INFO ON JANE HARROP'S BOOK)
The victory garden was fun too and the bike powered radio and escape tunnel...I think I emptied every teabag I had to coat the outside.

Wartime Terrace House

The WWII house....I had always wanted to do a wartime house but good reasonably priced dollhouses are quite hard to come by here in Australia so I rehabbed a house I had to hand...the bricks are a favourite printie...the 5'' bath line, tent made out of a clothes horse and the Staffordshire dogs are all my own memories...in fact unknowingly at the time I was decorating, it turned out to look pretty much like my “nannas” house.
