The house had been sympathetically restored before it came into my possession. I believe the wallpapers are original but pieces that were missing have been replaced by authentic replica's.

Upstairs Rooms

Downstairs Rooms

Front Left Bay Windows
The majority of the furniture and accessories are very old vintage pieces, a very small few are handmade items ie.the lounge light shade.
Bliss House circa 1895
This Bliss house is c1895 approx., the first and the largest of my Bliss houses.

I found reference to this particular house in an old dolls house book, it stated that this was an unidentified Bliss model, whether it has since been identified I do not know.

When I got this house alot of the exterior had been overpainted many years ago in yellow paint but to my delight it came off quite easily to reveal all the original litheograph papers underneath. It has it's original chimney and front steps which are so often missing.

The inside had been overpapered, I managed to expose the original papers to the sides of the inside, upstairs and downstairs, there was some original flooring paper left but I have put authentic Bliss copy papers on the floor (not adhered).
The back of the house was not the orignal and was in a bad state so I put on a new back using old wood, hence again I used authentic copy Bliss papers to put on the back walls inside. The furnishings are mainly very old vintage pieces late 1800 early 1900 but there are some newer pieces also.
Bliss House circa. Late 1800s/Early 1900s
This dolls house circa late 1800's-very early 1900's is the second from my Bliss collection and it has it's original litheograph papers to the exterior.

This house came to me with no back panel and a piece had been cut out on the middle floor believed to have been done in order to fix in a light bulb (this is not the first Bliss house I have seen that this has been done to), so the house would have been used as a lamp.

I put on a new back using old wood and cut a piece of wood to fill in the piece on the middle floor that was missing.Apart from the back of the interior of the house it has all of it's original papers (side walls and floors). Then I used authentic Bliss replica papers for the new back I had added. The cellophane at the windows appears to be original if not extremly old.

The furniture is a mixture of very old vintage pieces and newer items.

Bliss House circa. Late 1800s
This house is the third from my collection and is from the late 1800s.

It has all it's original litheographed papers to the exterior and all original papers inside.

It is the smallest of my Bliss houses and I am finding it very hard to furnish as the scale is so small.

I have an old late 1800-very early 1900 metal bed with original bedding on the top floor but I am still searching for further pieces to add.

I have also included a picture of my vintage horse and carts which I have in front of my Bliis houses when they are displayed. There is a Crescent, a Britains, a Hanson and a tin penny toy model.
1930s Tri-ang Stockbroker
Here is my 1930 Triang Stockbroker.

The lady I bought the house from had inherited it from an elderly aunt who had died. The house has an interesting history, the lady who originally owned the house, her husband was the manager at F.W.Woolworths in Tolworth in the 1930's. This was the very first Tri-ang that came into the shop for sale. The manager bought the house and gave it to his wife as a present. She then kept the house and treasured it until she died.
The front is all original paintwork and four of the rooms definately have original wallpaper although patchy in places
The bedroom has an Elgin/Lines suite with a couple of very old armchairs.

The kitchen is furnished with items from that period with an original Tri-ang dresser, cooker and sink.

The dining room has an Elgin/Lines dining table and chairs and two sideboards, there is a Pit-a-Pat grandfather clock and a Barton Tudor Dresser with Tri-ang plated food on display.

The lounge has a Tri-ang Queen Anne three piece suite and an old metal radio with earphones.

The halls and bathroom I am not 100% sure whether they are original. The bath is an original Tri-ang wooden bath and the car is a vintage wooden car.

Victorian Room Box circa late 1800s/Early 1900s
This is my 3 roomed Victorian Box House, I believe it to date around late 1800's-early 1900's.

The wallpapers and flooring appear to be all original. The majority of the furniture and accessories date from the 1800's to the early 1900's. The majority of the portraits are original photographs (not replicated items) dating from 1840-1860 as are the picture frames.

LIVING ROOM

The living room has a Kestner (three crowns) 1800's beidermeier secretary bureau, the sofa is a Waltershausen as is the side table.

DINING ROOM

In the dining room is a Waltershausen table in the centre and a shneegas side table.

BEDROOM

In the bedroom there is a metal washstand with an authentic miniature working razor and a shaving brush. On the bed is an old vintage night hat with silk at the bottom.
Lines No.37 circa 1920s
This house I bought from KT Miniatures.

I believe that overpainted coats of paint had been removed by previous owner and the exterior is as original with maybe some touch ups?

The inside had been overpapered with a lovley art deco wallpaper but the paper had been used in all the rooms. I left this art deco paper on the inside of the opening door but removed it from the internal rooms to reveal the original wallpaper, although it is patchy, but I like the fact it's original.

The bedroom has a Pit-a-Pat wardrobe, bed, dressing table and orange coloured armchair.

The lounge has a Pit-a-Pat green fabric three piece suite and sideboard. The kitchen has a Crescent metal cooker, a 1920's kitchen sink and fridge, also an original 1923 calendar hanging on the wall above the kitchen sink.
Some of the pictures came to me with the house and I feel they should be left in. The house is currently inhabitated by the Dol-Toi family but they will be moving out to a Tri-ang 1950's house when I can find a suitable family from the correct period of time to move in.
And now for something a little different......no, it's not a dolls house but Wendy sent these photos in anyway and the following is just so exquisite that I felt we just had to add this to Wendy's collection page!
German Stable circa Late 1800s/Early 1900s

This is a 1910 German stable painted with litho detail, although the animals are not original to the stable they are all late 1800's-early 1900's, the wooden carved ones are very detailed and must have taken someone a very long time to make, some are tin with litho details printed onto them.
