• Items placed under this heading also incorporate Taylor & Barrett (T&B) which were manufactured from 1920 to 1941. Manufacturing had to cease from 1941 due to World War 2. After the war the partnership was not renewed.
• Mr Barrett and sons started up again as "Barrett & Sons" which traded from 1945 to 1983.
• Mr Taylor, his son and son in law started up again as "F.G. Taylor & Sons" which traded from 1945 to 1980.

• From the 1960s onwards metal components were increasingly replaced by plastic.
• In 1970 Barretts moved into premises that housed the Barton company at that particular time. From then on Barretts made exclusively for Bartons. Therefore I will place many of the Barrett plastic 1970s items under the Barton heading. At the same time, all of their moulds were converted so from then on no metal items were made, only plastic.

RARE!!! 1930s Taylor & Barrett Complete Boxed Set Of Metal Fridge With Entire Original Contents - Never Been Played With @ £95.00

This truly outstanding 1930's metal set comes in the original box, in pristine condition and never been played with. It consists of a metal opening door to reveal two shiny metal shelves along with the metal food: x2 metal jellies, leg of ham, bottle of milk and chicken. The makers T&B mark is embossed underneath.

You have here an extremely rare opportunity to own a complete set that just doesnt come along in such fantastic condition very often.

RARE!!! 1950s/Very Early 1960s? Barrett & Sons Complete Boxed Set Of Red & Cream Metal Cooker With Saucepan & Kettle Set @ £95.00

This remarkable all metal set is complete and untouched....never played with but sat in a box since it's manufacture! It comes complete with original box and in all items are in pristine condition. It consists of a metal cooker with opening door and metal plate rack. There is also a complete set of three saucepans and kettle, all with lids.

A wonderful opportunity to own a very rare set in such wonderful condition and original packaging!

1940s/50s Barrett & Son Metal Fridge @ £22.50

A solid metal fridge in a good played with condition, with opening door. The interior shelves are long gone and there is a fair bit of paint loss however this is a lovely item for the vintage house. Has no T&B markings therefore thought to be post war (were manufactured until 1958) but this item was exactly the same as the pre-war version.

1960s Barrett & Son Vacuum Cleaner @ £14.00

This 1960s Barrett cream painted metal & plastic hoover with speckled material bag is in a good played with condition, with a little paint loss. The little metal loop has been replaced by some fuse wire. Nice item.

NB. Although this was manufactured and sold for use with 1/16th dolls houses, please note that this is actually on the large side and would even suit the 1/12th dolls house. This item  measures  4" long from tip of handle to front of hoover. I personally am not bothered by discrepancies in scale with the antique and vintage items, however please take note of measurements before ordering.

1950s/60s Barrett & Son Vacuum Cleaner @ £9.00

This 1950/60s Barrett cream painted metal hoover with speckled material bag is in a good played with condition, with some paint loss. A missing loop and pin have been replaced with fuse wire which does the trick perfectly.  The handle end appears shorter than normal so assuming this tiny bit has snapped off so price reflects this.

Rare 1950s Barrett & Son Nest & Three Ducklings Plus Replacment Mother Duck & Duckling@ £15.00

This 1950s Barrett lead nest with three ducklings is quite unusual and does not come along very often. The original femail duck is missing but have included the replacement duck and another duckling, that came with this set from previous owner (maker of these replacements unknown). These are in a good played with condition.
