Rare c1970s Boxed Shackman Kitchen Set
@ £39.00
Here
is a rare boxed set of Shackman kitchen utensils. I know as these originate from the 1970s that do not qualify as "antique" but they are certainly vintage and 1/12th scale so have slotted these under this heading. These were made in Japan. Shackman was a US wholesale company (established in the 1890s) that imported from Japan, Germany and in the latter years Taiwan.
Each set is individually boxed. Some are still slotted onto their cardboard backing, others have come away from their backing.
The sets are as follows: Electric Iron; Knife Set;Frying Pan Set; Tray & Cutlery; Kitchen Utensils; Two Place Cutlery Settings. These are all in excellent unused condition.

Very Old Metal Decorative Tray @ £11.95
This is in a good played with condition. It has decorative handles and edges and is a delightful item. Origin and exact date unknown but is thought to be considerably old. There is just a slight hint of a makers mark underneath but unreadable plus there obviously was once some design on the front of the tray but long been worn off. May even be late Victorian - not sure but would look super in your dining room or even kitchen.
Measures 1 1/2" at longest point to each handle
& 1" wide.

1940s/50s Taylor & Son Painted Metal Tea Set @ £13.95(Sold By Kensalcraft)
This is a painted metal tea set marked T&S underneath, which stands for Talyor & Son and we understand this set was sold by Kensalcraf in the late 1940s/1950s. The gold and blue painted set has been quite crudely painted (there are numerous splodges of blue paint where there shouldnt be) however this would look great sitting on shelves or a sideboard.
To give an indication on size, the teapot measures 1" in height and 1 1/2" total width from the tip of spout to edge of handle.

1920s/30s Art Deco German Metal Tea Set @ £39.95
This is a lovely complete metal tea set, comprising of a teapot with lid, milk jug, sugar bowl and four cups with saucers. The teapot is marked Germany and is in a good played with condition. Some pieces are slightly more tarnished than others but overall this set is in a good played with condition. This would look fabulous in an antique or even more modern dolls house.
The overall design is very art deco and evocative of the era that it was made.
To give indication of size, the teapot measures just a tad more than 1" in height and overall width measures 1 3/4" from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle.

1920s/30s Art Deco German Metal Tea Set @ £29.50
This is a lovely metal tea set, comprising of a teapot with lid, milk jug, five cups & saucers. (This is similar to the set above however this set is missing the sugar bowl but does have an additional cup & saucer). The teapot is marked Germany and is in a good played with condition. Some pieces are slightly more tarnished than others and two cups are slightly squashed but does not detract from the overall loveliness of this set. This would look fabulous in an antique or even more modern dolls house.
The overall design is very art deco and evocative of the era that it was made.

Early 1900s German Metal Kettle (Missing Lid) & Frying Pan With Lid @ £14.50
This is a very old metal kettle still with handle but sadly missing it's lid and stamped Germany underneath. The frying pan is assumed to be of the same origin and era as it came with along with this and a number of similar items, however there is no marking on this. The lid is lightly decorated and the handle of the pan is painted black. The frying pan has a pouring lip, which to be honest at first I thought was a slight dent however on close inspection, it appears to have been manufactured deliberately!
Kettle stands at 3/4" high and the frying pan measures 1 1/2" in diameter

1930s Gold Colour Lustre Ware Tea Set @ £14.00
This little set comprises of a teapot with removable lid, sugar bowl, two teacups and saucers. All are in a good played with condition with some nibbles, mainly around the teacups but no major cracks that I can see. Although these came together I am of the opinion that the teacups are of a different make due to the fact that the inside of the teapot and sugar bowl are white, the teacups are not, plus the cup handles appear more crudely made than the more delicate teapot handle.
Exact maker and age unknown, but previous owner believes these to be from the 1930s.
To give an indication of size the teapot measures 1" tall, diameter of saucer measures 1 1/4"

1930s Celluloid Jug & Plate @ £12.50
These are in a good played with condition and would look great in an old dolls house. In the very epicentre of the plate is a slight discoloured speck which is believed to be have been created in manufacture, as I have tried to wash it off but seems ingrained into the celluloid.
Height of jug is just under 1"
Diameter of plate:1 1/4"
