This is a gorgeous wooden dolls house, in excellent played with condition. Maker unknown. The stye of this solid house is quite evocative of the 1930's era. Front opening in four sections each via a little handle, the house consists of a larger room downstairs with doorway into hall and stairs. The stairs lead up to a small landing and through another doorway into one main upstairs room. The stairs has a pretty 1930s style carpet runner.
NB. There are no interior doors as such, just a doorway.

The exterior is painted in a lovely terracotta/red colour lower half and an ivory colour on the upper half. The roof has also been painted in the same terracotta/red colour. All interior walls have been painted in an ivory colour.
The flooring is glorious, with some type of glazed finish which is extremely effective. The hall has a type of textured tiled flooring. I am of the opinion that this house is all in original condition. The windows are glazed with old perspex and lined with vintage lace curtains....truly wonderful!!!! The opening front wooden door has a tiny metal ring handle.

There has been lighting at some point in its life, as there are remants of wiring and bakelite fitments. However, I have no idea whether any of these are usable.

There are some settlement cracks here and there but nothing major. A strip of wood has been fixed just above the front door for support, as there is a settlement crack there. Refreshingly I can find no indication of woodworm (there are holes around each inside of the window where curtains have been pinned to the wall).
Whoever purchases this little house can move straight in and need not do any decorating!
A truly wonderful little house!
